The sandwiches here are huuuuge and taste wonderful. I love the turkey with coleslaw on rye. Sandwiches come with crunchy dill pickles on the side. French fries are crispy and fresh, and one portion is big enough for two people. Service is fast and friendly. Great place for a takeout, although you can also dine inside.

I've been here a few times and their sandwiches and pickles are so good. So good! If you're trying to eat healthy, this is not your stop. Although i was surprised by the availability of a few different vegetarian options. One start of for staff. You never know what you're walking into. Sometimes service is awesome. Sometimes you think that the person helping you is currently caught in their own fiery pit of hell and YOU being there makes it worse. But the food is great.

I've been hearing about the BBD for awhile now and I'm so glad their is one close to my home. The service was top notch, very friendly and helpful. My sandwich...17 1/2 also perfect I wouldn't change a thing. My hubby gets the corned beef on toast, nothing fancy but he loves it. Each sandwich comes with a side of pickles and it's new dill all the way. In fact they are so good, I ask for extras. They taste like fresh salty cucumbers. So good.

What a joy to see this Deli come to my neighborhood. Been driving to their Southfield location for years. Stopped by today for a Corned Beef on an onion roll and I think it may have been better than the last time I stopped at the Southfield location. This area lacks a good deli. Hope you boys do well here.

Massive. So I had a couple of Magic Hat #9's on tap at Piper's Alley and was feeling a bit peckish so I sauntered into The Bread Basket conveniently located next door. Having never been here before I had no idea what to expect, the place looks pretty upscale and suburban from the outside, but looks a bit greasy spoonish upon entering with a large counter and ordering area to stand and that's about it. They could put some pinball machines in there and have room to spare. So I get a Reuben because that's pretty much what i'm getting if there is corned beef involved and I eat a lot of corned beef. The sandwich was FAT, I mean like round in the middle. The bread was pretty good, like a Texas Toast kind of a thing going on. It kept it's sturdiness whilst i murdered it in about 12 bites (man was i peckish). Meat was full of flavor and moist, maybe the most moist corned beef i've had. Kraut went right with it, not too sour or sweet. Did I mention the lovely pickle? Not 5 stars because I was taken aback by the $10.50 price tag. I mean I guess that's the going rate at some places (RIP Stage Deli), but i've had comparable sandwiches for $7. I feel so spoiled being around all of these great corned beef places here, and this one is no exception.

They ran out of corn beef an hour before closing... Their specialty is corn beef and they ran out! Couldn't fill a large order.

Ordered the corned beef on the onion roll. The meat was tender, flavorful and delicious. The bread was a very nice compliment. The onion rings were good with a nicely seasoned crust. The fries with corned beef and sauerkraut on top was just ok. Wish the prices were a little lower. If it were a few dollars cheaper, I would have rated it a 5 star.

I've had the #171/2 6oz sandwich many times, but this was the worst. The meat on one half was stringy, greasy, fatty and inedible. The other half was tender and as expected. WHAT HAPPENED? This sandwich costs $8.99, so they owe me $4.50 for the the half that was inedible. My advice...check your food before you leave the premises for all carry-out.

I had a perfect #20 1/2. Got the 6 ounce sandwich and it was tasty turkey with coleslaw, Swiss and Russian dressing on perfect deli rye. And my spouse had a delicious pastrami sandwich. Service was fast. Been looking for a good local deli and this will definitely be our spot!

It is just after 7:00 A.M. and I am eating my B.B. Special salad. I picked the salad up last night with the intent of having it for lunch today. I had to resist not eating it for dinner last night. That was tough. However, I could not resist any longer. This thing is huge. I will have plenty left for lunch. In fact, there will be enough for an after lunch snack and again for pre-dinner snack. I am a big fan of the Bread Basket Deli. Up until now, I would drive out of my way to get their succulent corned beef. Therefore, having a location closer to home makes it all the better. I have already become a regular. This location is small with only a couple of tables. It is geared more towards the carry out crowd. However, it is not the ambiance that keeps me going back. It is all about the food. Everyone has a favorite. Mine is corned beef, Swiss cheese, turkey, with a side of coleslaw. Put these items in a salad or on a sandwich; either way is fine with me. The new pickles they throw in are worth the trip alone. The staff is friendly. The service is good. I usually call ahead. My order is always waiting when I arrive. Now, back to my delicious salad...

Oh Yea. Some good deli meats here. Last time I was here I had the 1lb corned beef. Stuffed. So good. Get the onion roll. Much better. One of the best deli spots around. Little pricey but hey...... Inflation

St Patrick's Day so stop at the bread basket deli and ordered a Reuben sandwich. Wow this sandwich is huge. And prepared almost perfectly Russian dressing corned beef sauerkraut and a perfectly toasted rye bread. They really do a great job with their sandwiches here and they also have a large variety of homemade soup. $10 for a Reuben sandwich seems like a lot of money but you do get a lot of sandwich for your $10. When in the mood for a great deli sandwich I will stop back to the bread basket deli

Great value! AMAZING deli! I came here with some co-workers for lunch when a co-work from Texas was in town. He wanted to try and good Detroit Deli, so we took him here and we all LOVED it! Big Tex had the United Meats (Regular size, so it was a huge sandwich!) with some Bettermade BBQ Chips and a Faygo Rock N Rye! Can't get any more Detroit than that. Another co-worker had a turkey pastrami and she really really enjoyed it. I had a grilled corned beef, with cole slaw, swiss, and Russian dressing. It was very good. I had a small sandwich, with no sides and it took all I had to finish it, but it was too good not to finish it! We were in here at lunch time and it was pretty busy for being such a small place, yet they still got the order done quickly and correctly.

I was really excited when I noticed a Bread Basket in my neighborhood really close to my house. A friend of mine just discovered BreadBasket and was raving about them over and over this past weekend... so the following day when my hunger got the best of me I forced myself to resist my usual sandwich option (Panera) and go to the Bread Basket. Corned Beef & Swiss on rye. (extra cheese). Perfect. Huge. Not really cheap, but who the hell cares. Ok, a little about me, I'm one of those girls who usually turn my nose up at some of the sandwich/burger type hole in the walls. Not that anything is wrong with them... I just usually don't like much of anything they have to offer. On the otherhand, I'm usually over-ruled by male friends who want a BIG OLE MAN SANDWICH. Well, here is my happy medium. I can pick and choose a few different options and every one of them has been great... and they are huge! If they had a drive thru I would be here every day... I am really looking forward to returning and also bringing friends with me to this location so that it STAYS!!! I know once they go, they'll be hooked.

My Dad and I love their United Meat Sandwich! It is always delicious! I asked my dad on Thursday to bring one home for me on his way home from work on Friday. He did as he was asked! The sandwich is always stacked high and It always serves for two meals. Heated up for 30 seconds for extra effect the next day is even amazing! The onion roll adds amazing flavor and the corned beef and pastrami are awesome! Five star rating because I've never had a bad experience with this place! A little extra Russian dressing on the side isn't too bad as well! I recommend the United Meat! Mmmmmhmmmm!!!

All the goodness of the original BBD, just no charm as this is basically carry out. The United Meat was as good as ever as were the onion rings. You are able to dine in but there are only 2 tables and a ton of unused space. My friends reuben was spot on, both sammichs had soooo much meat we couldn't finish, which just means wooo hoo leftovers.

The sandwiches are exactly like the pictures shows, HUGE, fresh and delicious, ! You can barely get your mouth around it to take a bit. I stopped in for lunch one day when i noticed the sign. I grew up going to the original Bread Basket Deli in Oak Park and the food is just as good. The other reviewer is right, not too many tables to sit down but there are some stools to sit by the window to eat and wait for your carry out order. My order was up fast and i was eating my turkey sandwish for two days, Lucky me!

What's happening at this Bread Basket Deli? I've had lots of wonderful sandwiches here. But the last two.....blah. Meat was less flavorful and seemed stringy. I'm going to stay away for a while and hope they return to there spectacular sandwiches they used to have.
